For travelers
What is Jauntr?
Jauntr is an AI trip planner and travel journal rolled into one. Tell it where you’re going and it plans your days: where to eat, what to see and which stops are worth the detour.
Then it keeps track of where you actually went, so your trip turns into a journal without much effort from you.
Plan it. Live it. Share it.
Is Jauntr free?
Yep. Planning, journaling, adding friends and browsing other people’s jaunts are all free. You’d only pay if you decide to buy a jaunt someone else is selling. Those purchases go through the App Store or Google Play.
What’s a jaunt?
A jaunt is a trip on Jauntr. A day in Galle, a long weekend in Lisbon, a week eating your way around Bangkok.
Each one is up to seven days, with a day-by-day plan of places to eat, things to do, timings and rough costs. The practical stuff, like your budget, packing list and getting around, lives in Trip Info.
Going for longer? Split it into a few jaunts. Tokyo, then Kyoto, then Osaka.
How do I plan one?
Tap +, tell Jauntr where you’re headed, when, and who’s coming. Then pick a vibe: Adventure, Foodie, Chill, Family, Culture or Romantic. Same city, different vibe, very different trip.
Can’t decide where to go? Hit Surprise Me and Jauntr picks somewhere for you. You might end up somewhere you’d never have thought of, which is half the fun.
Can I change my jaunt?
Of course, it’s yours. Add a stop, swap one out or skip the museum because you slept in. Change things before you go or halfway through the trip.
Your jaunt is there to help, not boss you around.
Are the suggestions always right?
Jauntr’s suggestions come from AI and from real trips other travelers have taken, so they’re a great starting point. But opening hours, prices and other details change. Double-check anything important, like bookings, opening times or entry rules, before you go.
How does the journal work?
Your jaunt is the plan. Your journal is what actually happened.
The stops from your jaunt are already waiting in your journal, so you just add a photo, a rating and a few words. “Found the best tacos. Ate all six. No regrets.” counts.
Ended up somewhere that wasn’t on the plan? Search for it and add it. The unplanned stops are often the best ones.
Why not just use an AI chatbot?
You can! But then your plan is buried in a chat somewhere, between a recipe and an email you asked it to fix.
Jauntr keeps your trips organized, lets you change them without starting over, turns them into a journal as you go and shows you real trips your friends have taken.
Buying jaunts
How do I buy a jaunt?
Open a jaunt that has a price on it and tap Buy. You pay through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, the same way you’d pay for anything else in an app. The price is shown in your local currency before you pay.
Can I get a refund?
Jaunt purchases are final, and Jauntr doesn’t offer refunds. This doesn’t affect your rights under consumer law, for example if a jaunt is faulty or not as described.
Refund requests go through the store you bought from:
- iPhone: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Google Play. After 48 hours, Google may refer you to us, and we’ll consider requests where the law requires a refund.
If a refund is approved, the jaunt is removed from your account.
Something’s wrong with a jaunt I bought.
Email info@jauntr.ai with the jaunt’s name and the issue, and we’ll help.
For creators
Who can sell jaunts?
Pretty much anyone. You don’t need to be a tour guide, an influencer or someone who owns a drone.
If you’ve done a trip other people would love to recreate, publish it on your profile. Make it free or put a price on it.
How much do I get paid?
You keep 75% of every sale. For a $10 jaunt, that’s $7.50. App store and payout fees come out of Jauntr’s share, not yours.
Earnings are in US dollars. If your bank is outside the US, you’re paid in your local currency. Your bank may charge its own fees for international payments.
How do payouts work?
You can create jaunts any time, but you’ll need to set up payouts before you can start selling.
To set up payouts, choose your country and add your bank details. Stripe will check your identity and tax info. Once that’s done, you can start selling, and your earnings go straight to your bank. Stripe will also tell you if payouts aren’t available where you are.
Do I need a big following?
Nope. Anyone can find your published jaunts on Jauntr, and they show up on your friends’ Home screens too.
Your journal helps as well, because it shows you’ve actually been there. Friends are usually the first to save, share or buy.
